WIP - New Portfolio Site

WIP: Portfolio Website

After 6 years of not being able to revamp my portfolio, I have finally decided to recreate it. My current portfolio website (which you can view here) features a WordPress platform, which I tweaked to suit how I wanted the design to look. My website got hacked in the past, and I think that is what prompted me to revamp it. Plus it looks so old, too. That is the website I had since I graduated college and I really wanted to revamp it now.

So here’s a sneak peek of the new version I’m making. I have made almost 3/4 of it and I am just looking for time to work on it further. But it features a simpler platform, simpler functions, and mobile compatibility! So I am excited to launch it, I hope you are, too! :)

Just Because I Miss the Beach

Oh Happy DayHere are some old photos I dug up on my files, back when I was still in college, and when I was still a photographer. Just because I miss the beach, and I am stuck in the city. I miss being bathed in sunlight, stepping on sand, and immersed in seawater. Notice the big smile on all our faces. I miss college, too!

Post-breakup Status

Recently, I’ve been going out a lot and making myself busy with school. After the breakup, everything just seemed to fall into place. It has been very hard (still is) but I am going to get over this soon. I have discovered a lot of things now with my life, and have learned from them. Maybe it’s also best that I am here alone, so that I could become stronger and handle things on my own. I have been more concentrated with myself here and how I am adjusting to the culture. I’ve been making more friends now and it feels less lonely. I am thankful for the things that have been happening to me, and I will still be. :)

School is eating up most of my time. Although I only have three subjects for this term, it has been a hectic one for me. There has been a lot of things that needs to be finished for school. Add to that the pressure of looking for a job.

Mixtape – The Night Out

Whipped up a new mixtape for my roommate who’s leaving for Krabi, Thailand. Made a risky choice of songs that mixes mainstream pop, dirty dutch, and progressive house. It also sums up how I feel right now. If you like it, feel free to download and appreciate! Share it to your friends too, or use it while drinking to really have a good time. :D

Shoots Pictures Project by VPG

My friend, VPG, had this project called “Shoots Pictures Project” and is about random people who uses cameras of different kinds to take pictures. For my part, we had a collaboration of kinetic typography (courtesy of me) and cinematography (courtesy of him).

It was a really fun and fresh experience. I didn’t really think that I would appear in front of the camera. Being a photographer and behind-the-scenes-guy for the longest time, it’s now finally my time to shine in front of camera! I look so awkward to be honest, and uncomfortable! But nevertheless it’s a fun and happy video to look at. :) Enjoy!

If you guys didn’t know, I do DJ-ing on my spare time…. or yes, maybe when I am in the mood. I started to do DJ in 2009 back in Manila. I was handled by the great Funk Avy and Lady Trinity in SpinCity, which was still located in Makati that time. I did small parties, and gigs all around. Now that I am in Singapore, I plan to pursue it as a hobby maybe even as a part-time job. But right now I am on the process of posting my mixes online and here is one of them. I will share with you all my mixes that I make starting from now on in my blog. :)

My love for music powered my courage to start DJ-ing. Initially I wanted to do dance, but I am really bad at it. So I just made mixing my outlet. It is quite great to share my works of art in music.
